1954 Monarch Lucerne Hardtop
Lorne and Irene Edwards are working on a new '50 cruiser, a rare one of 449 produced 1954 Monarch Lucerne 2 door hardtop. The frame off restoration not only has a completely rebuilt frame and suspension, but the powertrain has now been mounted as well.
Originally powered by a 256 cu. in. Y-Block and Merc-O-Matic, there's now a late '70s Lincoln 460 cubic inch V8 and C-6 automatic nestled between the frame rails. While the doors, trunk, hood and fenders are now ready for final paint the next step is to start the work on the main body.
